Creating your own butter not only provides a rich, creamy spread but also yields fresh buttermilk, perfect for baking. With just heavy whipping cream and a stand mixer, you can achieve this in minutes.
Steps:
Preparation: Pour room temperature heavy whipping cream into your stand mixer's bowl. Using the whisk attachment, start at a low speed, gradually increasing to high.Savvy Saving Couple+1KitchenAid+1Savvy Saving Couple+1
Whipping Stages: Initially, the cream will thicken into whipped cream. Continue mixing until it separates into butter solids and buttermilk.KitchenAid
Separation: Once separation occurs, strain off the liquid buttermilk and set it aside for later use.mommyskitchen.net+5KitchenAid+5thepracticalkitchen.com+5
Rinsing: To ensure longevity, rinse the butter under cold water, kneading gently to remove residual buttermilk.
Finishing Touches: Add a pinch of salt or herbs to the butter if desired, and it's ready to enjoy!
